To begin with, I opened the CD image and I had to cut the background off so I just had the CD itself. To do so, I clicked the 'Eliptical Marquee tool' in the toolbar and, while holding shift to gain a perfect circle, I held the select tool in the top corner of the image and dragged it to the opposite corner. This allowed me to select just the CD
After I selected the CD, I dragged the image selection to the next document which contained the album background. Once dragged, I had to change the colour. To do so, I clicked on the image layer and go to Image > Adjustments > Colour Balance and changed the CD to purple. I then placed the CD in the corner and rotated it.
Adding to that, the next step I had to do was to place a transparent trumpet onto the CD cover. Because the image was not transparent, I had to use the 'Magic Wand' tool and clicked on part of the trumpet; then I went to Select > Similar. This tool would allow me to select the trumpet as a whole instead of picking it one-by-one. Once I did that, I went back to the Select tab and went down to Inverse, this would allow me to pick the whole background instead of dragging and dropping the trumpet. Furthermore, I selected the whole of the trumpet and placed it into the CD cover document; I rotated it and moved it to a place where you could not see where the trumpet was cut off. Again, I changed the colour to a more brass colour by going onto Image > Adjustments > Colour Balance.
Thereafter, I had to uncover another image of which was already on the CD cover. I had to place them so they were coming out of the Trumpet as well as change the colour. I changed the colour the same way I changed the colour of the Trumpet; by going on Image > Adjustments > Colour Balance.
Laastly, I had to add my name by clicking the Text Tool and writing at the bottom of the CD cover. I added a border by double clicking on the layer and ticking the box 'Stroke'. Next, I made it more transparent by clicking on the text layer and going to 'opacity'.
