Research and Planning: Poster Activity

In this project, I had to find a film poster and replace the face with either mine or another celebrity. I used the movie 'Iron Man's poster and replaced Robert Downey Jr's face with comedian, Lee Evans.
First off, I had to find an Iron Man film poster off the internet and place the image file into Photoshop. Then, I had to search the internet again to find a picture of Lee Evans that had the same face angle as the poster's.
After I found a picture that was suitable, I had to take the background off the Lee Evans' image layer by using the 'Quick Selection Tool' so I was able to just get the face.
I made the image sharper by using the 'Unsharp Mask' tool in order to suit the Iron Man layer.
In order to make it as though Lee Evans is Iron Man, I had to darken the layer and add more contrast. I did this by clicking on the Lee Evans' layer and going to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/contrast. This allowed me to make the poster realistic.

The face had to look as realistic and as good quality as possible. In order to do so,  I had to blend Lee Evans' hair into Robert Downey Jr's hair. Both Robert Downey Jr and Lee Evans have black/dark hair, therefore I used the Eraser Tool and the Paint Tool to blend Lee Evans' hair with Robert Downey Jr's. This was a simple task to do as I did not have to remove Lee Evans' hair in order to look like Robert Downey Jr's.
